Information

BST Ritma is a contemporary humanist sans serif typeface that takes inspiration from early twentieth-century British humanist designs, including Johnston Sans and Gill Sans, as well as Super Grotesk and Futura. Designed with an unusual rhythm, it takes a nuanced and modern approach to humanist typeface widths, rejecting capitalis monumentalis in favour of neo-grotesk design principles. With a balanced x-height, wide body, and dynamic flow, BST Ritma is both practical and expressive. It features multiple stylistic sets, including schoolbook characters. Future cuts in development include partner italics and a monospace sister family.
